WiseTime for Outlook Add-In

Add time to your WiseTime timeline without leaving your inbox!

Capture all the time you spend on email on the go with the WiseTime for Outlook add-in. You can add time directly to your timeline as you read and respond to emails, so you don’t miss any time spent working on the go. Simply sign in to your WiseTime account from your Outlook to start capturing your time.

There are three ways to add the WiseTime Outlook Add-In to your account:

  • Download it from the Microsoft App Store

  • Add it manually as a system administrator

  • Add it manually as an individual user

Download it from the Microsoft App Store

To download and install the add-in from the Microsoft store, simply follow this link and click on "Get it now".


How to install the add-in as a system administrator

To install the add-in as a system administrator for multiple users follow the steps below.

1 . Login to below Office 365 Admin Portal URL to manage Add-ins https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home#/Settings/ServicesAndAddIns

2 . Click on "Deploy Add-in"

3 . Select "I have a URL for manifest file" and provide the below URL and click Next URL: https://wisetime.io/ic/outlook/manifest.xml

4 . It will show information from manifest file, click Next

5 . Select appropriate option to enable it optional or mandatory and click Next

6 . Select appropriate option to enable for Everyone or list of users and click Save, then Close

7 . Once installed, you can see add-in in the "Services and Add-Ins" section.

How install the add-in for individual user

To install the Outlook add-in for mobile, you must go to your browser version of Outlook and login. Once installed here it will begin to appear on all your Outlook apps on mobile devices.

1 . Login to your Outlook account at https://outlook.office.com/owa/

2 . In the top right, click on Settings → Manage Add-Ins

3 . Select My add-ins → Add custom add-in → From URL

5 . Restart web/desktop/mobile app


Removing the add-in

If you wish to remove the add-in:

1 . Login to your Outlook account at https://outlook.office.com/owa/

2 . In the top right, click on Settings → Manage Add-Ins → My add-ins

3 . Click the three dots in the corner of the add in and select remove

How to log time on mobile

To log time against an email you must be in reader view of the email you would like to capture.

1 . To the right of the sender and recipient info, click on the “…” then the WiseTime icon on the pop up screen

2 . You will then be prompted to login to your console for the first time

3 . Once logged in, you can adjust the amount of time you wish to log and then hit ‘submit’

4 . The time will now be posted to your console and you can close the window.

How to log time on desktop

You can also manually add time from Outlook on your desktop if you wish. For example if you have WiseTime paused when you answer an email, the option is there to add the time using the add-in from within the email.

In the read view of the relevant email, you will see the WiseTime icon alongside the sender & recipient information. Click the icon to open the window to login and log your time.
